Social Studies:
For Social Studies today, Mr. Pontious' class continued learning about the Native Americans of the Southwest. We introduced the Navajo Tribe today by watching a short video and taking notes on their culture and way of life. Then the students worked to compare and contrast the Pueblo and Navajo Tribes.
Language:
Mrs. Graff's class continued to work with Verb Tenses today in language. We looked at words that had multiple verbs in them and made sure that all of the verbs followed the same verb tense. If there was a sentence that had an inappropriate shift in verb tense, we corrected them.
Reading:
Both classes continued our exploration through 6 Trait Writing today in reading.Today we took a closer look at the traits of Organization and Voice in our writing. We then completed our first drafts of our narrative writing from the prompt we began yesterday.
