Morning Work:

Reading:
For Reading today, both classes focused on the "I Can" statement of: I can summarize a story, while identifying it's cause and effect situations, and including the beginning, middle, and end. To do this we read an excerpt of Journey to the Center of the Earth and wrote a paragraph summarizing what we read.

Language:
For language, Mr. Pontious' class worked on how to properly use punctuation and capitalization when writing titles. 

Social Studies:

In Social Studies today, Mrs. Graff's class continued our unit on Natives of North America by introducing the Mayan Indians. We watched a short video about the Mayan culture, read an article, and took some notes. For their assignment the students had a short "check" over the facts of the Mayan culture that we discussed today.
