SOCIAL STUDIES

Today we continued working in our small groups and completed more research on the students Region Studies.

Their goal today was to complete land form research and continue into popular occupations.

They are aiming to complete their research Friday, and begin their presentation.

Through this whole project they are also learning 21st Century Skills by using Google Drive to save and collect their information. This always me to comment right on their presentations and help all the groups at one time.

READING

First, we reviewed our You Do alone from yesterday.

We also viewed a video that showed our musicians use different figurative language and poetic devices in their song lyrics:

We continued our study of poems through close reading. We once again read the poem "Abandoned Farmhouse"

Today our focus was on understanding and visualizing the poems,  and explaining why the author may have written the poem.

 WRITING/LANGUAGE ARTS

The students completed Language Starter for today.

* I had technical difficulties at the end of the day, so this is all we were able to finished. We continued work on Social Studies projects, at this time.
