Reading:

Today we began our routines for our syllable practice. This will be used all year until we complete all syllable times.

Today we continued our close reading activity for the Solar Eclipse.

Social Studies:

Today we began our Daily Geography, too. Students will answer two questions every day. Monday through Thursday, about geography. Then, on Friday, they will have a Daily Geography Quiz.

The first quiz will be given this Friday, August 25, 2017.

 Then we started our first Social Studies unit: United States, states and capitals by region.

We started this unit by focusing on the landforms and regions of the United States.

Writing/Language Arts:

Today we started our Daily Language.
