SOCIAL STUDIES 

Today we finalized the movement from the ancient natives from Siberia, Asia throughout North America.

We then focused on the reading about the Inuit Natives. The student and I choral read the article below and then completed the True and False questions. I challenged them to explain their True or False answer with evidence from the text for number 5.

In reading today we focused on how authors use text feature: headings, titles, charts, graphs, and maps, inform readers of information they think is important.

I used an article below to identify text features and how those text features support the main ideas of the article.

Next the students completed an independent read focusing on headings and how they communicate the main idea to the reader.

WRITING/LANGUAGE ARTS

Completed the Language starter for Monday.

Completed our rough draft of our first Narrative.

Also, complete our 4 poems.
