Morning Work:

Reading:
Today we introduced our new vocabulary words for this week. We are on Unit 2 Week 3.

 We also began looking at Text Features

Students then used their knowledge of text features to apply their knowledge to the first couple of pages of their passage assignment. Here the students needed to interpret the use of specific text features or explain the best text features for each passage.

Social Studies:

For social studies today, both classes introduced the Native Americans of the Great Plains by watching a short video, reading an article, and taking notes. We then completed a compare and contrast activity over the cultures of the Great Plains, Pacific Northwest, and Southwest Native American Tribes.
